Club_

SUN  ·  1:00–3:30 PM  ·  DOWNTOWN ATX
no prereqs. just show up.
STATUS: Talk Less, Build More.
// everybody's welcome

Guys and girls, every age, every background, every level of tech knowledge. From "I just discovered Claude" to ex-Google engineers. We don't discriminate, and we never want anyone to feel out of place or intimidated. It's a friendly room of humans who just want to learn, build with AI, and help you do the same. While we still can, before the bots take over. 🤖😜

"It is unlikely most people will lose a job to AI. It is most likely that most people will lose their job to somebody who uses AI."Jensen Huang

// two ways in

Two formats. Same room energy.

Some Sundays are free build sessions. Some are hands-on masterclasses. Same room energy either way. Our weekly newsletter is how you stay up to date with all events. 📬

FREE · THE ORIGINAL

The Build Session

The format the club started with. A silent (think library-quiet) two-hour build sprint where you bring one thing you want to make, put your head down next to other founders, and actually ship it. We close with a fun show and tell on the big screen. All levels, no prereqs, free.

The Masterclass

Special Sundays where we bring in a guest instructor and the whole room builds the same thing at the same time, step by step, in real time. You walk out with a working build, not notes. Lunch included. Ticketed, and capped so everyone gets help.

// inside a free build session

Two and a half hours. Bring one thing. Build it.

You bring one thing to work on. You build it in a silent sprint alongside some other amazing humans. You get the chance to show it off before you go.

Show up

Grab coffee, say hi, pick the one thing you're building today.

Two focused hours, heads down, working quietly. Yes, there's a buzzer if you talk. 🔔

// the room

The room is the whole point.

Founders, operators, total beginners, and full-on AI nerds 🤓, all building in the same space. Honestly? It's some of the best networking in Austin that doesn't feel like networking. Nobody's pitching, everybody's building, and people actually help each other out. 🤝

// your host

Hi, I'm Chrissy. I built the room I wish I'd had.

Chrissy McDannell, host of the AI Implementation Club

For the longest time I was that person filling my phone with AI links, articles, and tools. "Top 20 Claude prompts you NEED to know." Saved. Some genius LinkedIn post on agents. Saved. A YouTube tutorial on the 5 skill.md files you MUST have. Saved. I kept promising myself I'd take a Saturday, go to a cute cafe, and finally DO something with all of it.

Reader, the cafe Saturday never came. 😅 I've loved computers since I was a kid, and jumped on ChatGPT back in January 2023. But technical? Not me. And you don't have to be either.

So in March 2026 I started the AI Implementation Club: a room where you actually BUILD instead of bookmarking another tutorial. Around that time I also finally made the jump from GPT over to Claude (no regrets!). Now Sundays are the best part of my week. Come build with us.

Until the bots take over, ~Chrissy 🤖

"I didn't realize I'd had this AI anxiety hanging over me for months. Having that space every week to show up and actually build has been wonderful." Raelan · founderread fullcollapse

My name is Raelan and I am an entrepreneur, I am the founder of a small company and I could not possibly be happier that I joined the AI Implementation Club. I didn't realize that I'd had this AI anxiety hanging over me for months, where every week I knew that I could be doing more, I wanted to be doing more with AI, but I didn't have that dedicated time to just build and implement. It just kept getting put off and put off. So having that space every week to show up and just actually put these things into place has been wonderful. And you get to be around incredible people at all skill levels. So I'm at more of the beginner level and I didn't feel intimidated, everyone was very welcoming and helpful. So you get to see a little bit of what is possible with AI, because it's changing so fast that I don't always even know what I should be building and using for my business. And it's just a great opportunity to hang out with wonderful people and meet and connect and network and learn from one another. Overall a fantastic experience, I highly recommend it for anyone who is interested at any level of implementing and building more AI systems into the work they do.

"It's just given me so much time and life back, and I feel really empowered. I feel like someone who's not technical like me, if I can do it, anyone can do it." Anna · psychotherapist, UKread fullcollapse

Hi, I'm Anna. I'm over in Austin for the month of May, and I'm building a pet care community in the UK which is running really well, looking to replicate it here. I'm not from a technical background at all, I'm a psychotherapist. So this event and all the similar ones that I've been to have just been amazing. I finally feel like I can use AI, and actually not just basic. I thought I'd just be using it on a really basic level, but I've been able to do some really cool stuff with it. And it's just given me so much time and life back, and I feel really empowered. I feel like someone who's not technical like me, if I can do it, anyone can do it. So I'm just really grateful for the community. Everyone's been so nice, so friendly, and I'm excited to do some more.

"It was freaking amazing. I actually implemented and created accounts for GitHub and a few other things I'd been wanting to do but didn't know how." Amandaread fullcollapse

Hey guys, I'm Amanda and I joined the AI Implementation Masterclass today, and it was freaking amazing. It's such a change to be in a room with other people who are all doing big things in AI. A couple of the takeaways I got today: I actually implemented and created accounts for GitHub and a few other things that I've been wanting to do, but I just didn't really know exactly how to do it. And watching a YouTube video and then doing it, that's how I normally do stuff. But it was really cool to be in a room with other people, and then also having people right beside you like, "hey, how do you do this, how do you do that," and seeing how they use all of the different AI tools and files and building skill sets. So when you're in a room like this it really helps. So I will be back. This has been awesome. Chrissy is an amazing host. This was a fantastic venue, and I'll be back for more.

"I had paid for Claude. I had an idea of what I wanted to do, but no place to actually find the time. It did not disappoint." Mitchell · came back every weekread fullcollapse

What I liked about last Sunday, why I came, is I just loved the concept. The concept of just having a space where you get to work on everything. Because I was thinking about implementing my agent a lot, but I hadn't started. I had paid for Claude. I had an idea of what I wanted to do, but no place to actually find the time. I really enjoyed the time we had together and the show-and-tell at the end, because everyone had a bunch of ideas that I didn't even think about. Everyone was very helpful and very open. Nobody judged me based on "you don't know anything." And I have to say, it did not disappoint. We haven't even done the second session yet, but I've already got way more than I expected. If I could come next Sunday, I would be here every week. This is like every Sunday for me.

"This is my second session, and this session was mind-blowing. It's the appetizer to the entree. So now I get to eat the entree." Evan · owner, Profit Financialread fullcollapse

I'm the owner of Profit Financial. This is my second session, and this session was mind-blowing. The experts that were here opened up so many elements of AI that I wasn't aware of. And if anything, it's the appetizer to the entree. So now I get to eat the entree. I feel like I'm probably just past beginner, somewhere between beginner and intermediate.

"What I really love is a dedicated space and a dedicated time. You know you're going to get something done. The vibe in the room is super positive." Lexi · near-every-week regularread fullcollapse

What I really love is a dedicated space and a dedicated time to work on projects. It's a chunk of time where you know you're going to get something done. The vibe in the room is really great, super positive. There's folks at all levels of AI, which I love, because you can always learn from somebody. It's fantastic. I love it. Thank you, Chrissy.

"I reserve Sunday afternoons to be at the club. It's given me a space to try some things out and get some things done." Jonathan Malkin · 25+ years in softwareread fullcollapse

Name's Jonathan Malkin, buildwithjon.com. I help businesses automate the things that frustrate them the most. I've been coming to the club for a couple of months now, and it's a great place. I reserve Sunday afternoons to be at the club. I've seen folks produce a lot of great things, and it's given me a space to try some things out and get some things done. I've been in tech for over 25 years, my background is software development. And the club has a very wide mix of people, from folks who've never used much tech and are just starting with the basics, to folks like me who are actually building out technical products.

"It was my first experience and it was a wonderful one. We all got some time to share ideas at the end. A very collaborative experience." Shish · first Sundayread fullcollapse

This is Shish and I'm here to leave a quick review for Chrissy and want to thank her for hosting the AI Implementation Club this last Sunday at the Antler VC venue. It was my first experience going for this event and it was a wonderful one, and I was glad I was there around like-minded people who were in the journey of using AI towards their use case, people who are learning to find ways to adapt it to their use case. We all got some time to share ideas in the end, which is nice, to get feedback from people who are sort of advanced in the area or have thought of it differently. So that was a very collaborative experience. So thank you Chrissy for hosting it and taking the time. I really appreciate you for that.

"Today was amazing because we can use AI for real tools and real life. It was an environment of a lot of collaboration." Sandra · from Ecuadorread fullcollapse

Hello, my name is Sandra. I'm from Ecuador. Today was amazing. The people, the speakers... we got to use AI for real tools and real life, and it's important that everybody knows about this new technology. Thank you so much, because it was an environment full of collaboration and real tools that you can actually use. Please, come and try these kinds of workshops.

"It was good to see other people building similar stuff and the tricks and hacks they have, because there's no recipe for it." Magio · already buildingread fullcollapse

I'm Magio. I already have stuff running, but it was good to see other people building similar things, and the tricks and hacks they have, because there's really no recipe for it. There's a lot out there, but it's cool to have real examples from other people working on this. That was the best part for me, getting to connect with other people.

"He really shared so much knowledge with us around skills, plugins, MCPs, gave us a few tricks of the trade." AIIC attendeeread fullcollapse

This has been fantastic. Caleb was an amazing instructor. He really shared so much knowledge with us around skills, plugins, MCPs, gave us a few tricks of the trade. I'm really excited about the second portion of this session, really going over Obsidian. And thank you so much, Chrissy, for letting him lead it.

"I was kind of forced to actually produce something useful. Super hands-on. I feel super energized." Anthonyread fullcollapse

Hi there, my name is Anthony and I was here for the AI Implementation Club. I had a ton of fun and more than anything else, I was kind of forced to actually produce something that's useful to me. I was really hands-on, I feel super energized, I'm really excited about doing more stuff, and I made a few connections and got some really good advice from people. So highly recommend it.

"Three hours just to get things done that have been on your plate forever. A really cool group all looking to get stuff done." Kyle · first timerread fullcollapse

Hi, my name is Kyle. This is my first time at the AI Implementation Club, but I really enjoyed it. It was a time to just disconnect from everything. You get three hours just to get things done that have been on your plate forever. It was a really interesting crowd, a good mix of people, all different skill and experience levels, all different walks of life. So it was just really cool to be among a group of people all looking to get stuff done.

"I learned a lot about what other people think and how they think. Really thankful for this space Chrissy created." Harrisonread fullcollapse

Hi, I'm Harrison. I am here at AI Club in Antler, which is beautiful. It's so nice that they opened this space up to us. Today I worked on a project for early stage learning and I learned a lot here about what other people think, how they think, and I'm just really thankful for this opportunity that Chrissy has allowed for us to have here. Yeah, I enjoy it and I love Austin.

"Just got off the plane from Canada. So cool to see what everyone's working on, blockchain, kids' learning tools, really wide and diverse." Max · first timeread fullcollapse

My name is Max, first time at the club here, just got off the plane from Canada. It was really cool to see the kind of things that people are working on, blockchain, children's learning tools, really cool, really wide and diverse.

aiic ~ % faqs

Do I need to know how to code?
Nope. Zero prereqs, zero gatekeeping. YouTube will become your new best friend, and the best part? Claude does the heavy lifting. Just ask it (nicely, the bots remember 🤖).
What do I bring?
A laptop, your charger, and something you want to work on.
Where is it?
Downtown ATX. The exact spot can move around, so the address is always on the Luma page (one more reason to grab the newsletter).
Partnerships and sponsorships?
Want to sponsor or partner with us, from hosting a session to backing a masterclass? We'd love to talk.
Can I just watch?
You could. But you'll have way more fun if you build. Lurking is for LinkedIn. 👀
How much does it cost?
The weekly build sessions are free. Masterclasses are ticketed (they pack in a ton, lunch included). One ask: please only RSVP if you know for sure you can make it, and for the whole time, not a drop-in. A no-show means someone on the waitlist didn't get a seat, and the buzzer judges you. 🔔
